Grocery Stores in the UK:
The Big Three grocery stores in the UK are Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s, and Waitrose. The first two have different kinds of stores as well.
Tesco superstores are standard large supermarkets.
Tesco Express stores are neighborhood convenience shops, stocking mainly food and everyday essentials.
Sainsbury's stores are standard large supermarkets.
Sainsbury's Local are neighborhood convenience shops.
Sainsbury's Central are smaller supermarkets in urban locations.
Waitrose is targeted at a upper class market, emphasizing quality food (think Whole Foods).
Cell Phone companies in the UK:
In England cell phones are called ‘mobiles’. There are six main carriers.

Besides all have their own shops, there is a major mobile phone reseller called Carphone Warehouse (www.carphonewarehouse.com) where you can buy a phone and join any of those carriers you want.
